The Vaal River City Marathon is part of the Vaal River City Carnival held from 27 August to 2 October in the Vaal.
This inaugaral event is to be held in conjuction with the Lekoa Athletics Club and Sechaba Nongi (Pty) Ltd.
The race director also organizes the Cape Gate Vaal Marathon.
This event is an early qualifier for both the Two Oceans Marathon and the Comrades Marathon.
This is fast easy qualifier that will be timed Mat to Mat for the best time possible.
Just Sports is hosting the inaugural Waterfall Run initiative on the 24th September 2017 as a unique platform directed at the Youth across the various races and demographics, in order to promote sports and athletics within the outer west - Waterfall, eMolweni, KwaNgcolosi, KwaNgqetho, eMbo & Hillcrest areas and townships.

Dorothy Nyembe Marathon in Dundee is celebrating Reconciliation Day by bringing the community together through fitness and reunion of all Nations.
What better way to spend the day than by running while giving back for a great cause?
The event consists of a 5km, 10km or 42.2km Marathon.
The marathon will start from the Ncome Museum at the Blood River Heritage Site at 6h00 and has a 6-hour cut-off.
The 10km starts at 6h30 and the 5km at 7h30.
All races finish at the Dundee Oval Stadium.
Walkers are welcome.
