The following events are open for online entries now.
The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) will be presenting the Old Mutual Comrades Women Seminars across the country's five major cities between January and March. These seminars are aimed at providing technical as well as professional support to the women running Comrades Marathon in 2015. An expert panel of professionals will be on hand to provide expert advice to the attendees on a number of relevant topics. The panel of experts will be made up of the following professionals: Medical Doctor; Nutritionist; Sports Psychologist and the Comrades Coach. The sessions are interactive, with experts giving short presentations on selected topics. The ladies are then given an opportunity to direct questions to the panel.
The Pick n Pay Marathon is run on 8th February 2015 from Saheti School in Senderwood. The race consists of a 42.2km Full Marathon, a 21km Half Marathon, an 8km and a 4km race. The marathon consists of two laps that encompass Edenvale and Bedfordview, whilst the 8km and 4km race meanders around Senderwood.
The ever popular Carnival City Macsteel National Classic Cycle Race will be held as usual on the last Sunday in February the 22nd, two weeks before the Argus.

The event promises to be better than ever. It will comprise a new 164km route for the Elite Men, 125Km for Licensed Vets (30 - 49) & Licenced Juniors and the customary route for the 103km and 65km road races. Licenced Under 16 Boys will ride 103km. Race organisers receive no personal financial benefit from this event. All profits go to Rotary Community Projects, the Rotary Foundation, Germiston Wheelers Charity Projects and the development of amateur cycling in South Africa.
Flat and Fast Route. This will be a final check point on 28th February 2015 to confirm your fitness and endurance for the big race ahead.

The race will take place at the Willem Prinsloo Museum close to Rayton, so bring the family for a most enjoyable day out in the Country side with a lot to do for the kids while waiting for you to finish the race.
The 2015 Cape Gate Vaal Marathon taking place on Sunday 1st March 2015 and will be the 41st running of this ever growing and well organised event. It will again start and finish at the Dick Fourie Stadium, Klipriver Drive, Three Rivers, Vereeniging.
The City of Durban as the sporting destination in South Africa will see KwaZulu/Natal Athletics hosting the Durban City Marathon on 1st March 2015. This exciting new event offers the opportunity for runners and walkers to experience the best of the City of Durban on a route of a true Big City Marathon with full road closure. With over R744 000 in prize money the event will see the Elite athletes competing for top honours in this exciting event.
Rand Road Warriors in association with The Sarens Group are proud to present The Sarens Edenvale Marathon on the 8th March 2015. This event consists of a marathon, half marathon, the new Tiles 4 Change 10km run and the Kidneybeanz 5km Fun Run. The proceeds of the 10km run will be donated to the Tiles 4 Change while proceeds for the 5km fun run will be donated to the KidneyBeanz Trust.
Old Mutual Om die Dam Ultra Marathon is the largest inland ultra-marathon in South Africa, offering a 50km ultra marathon, a 21km half-marathon, a 10km route and a 5km fun run. It attracts over 7 000 participants. Due to its scenic route - via the Hartbeespoort Dam - and family appeal, the race is consistently voted as one of the top national races.
The 50km race is the flagship event. Gold medals will be awarded to category winners, silver medals to men under 3:45 and women under 4:10, and bronze to all other finishers who make the 7 hour cut-off. Permanent numbers are awarded to persons completing 10 Ultras.
The 2015 campaign is centered on the CMA's vision of an all-inclusive Comrades Marathon, with the slogan: "Be Part of It - Bamba Iqhaza". The 90th edition of the race will be run on Sunday, 31 May 2015. The 'up-run' will start at the Durban City Hall at 05h30 and end 12 hours later at the Oval Cricket Stadium in Pietermaritzburg, covering a distance of 87km. Local entries closed on 30 November 2014.

Dennis Kimetto of Kenya breakes the Marathon World Record at the 2014 Berlin Marathon in a time of 2:02:57 followed by fellow Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai who also finished under the previous World Record.

Kenyan men take seven of the top ten positions in the Berlin Marathon.

Tirfi Tsegaye of Etheopia finishes as 1st women in a time of 2:20:18. Rene Kalmer of South Africa is 9th woman in a time of 2:29:27
